My new favorite show, extreme makeover: bedroom edition, etc.

It's been almost a week since I've posted. Sorry for the slow start! Lot's to discuss!

Pretty Little Liars. I think this might be my new favorite show. I haven't had a show since The OC. This is kind of reminiscent of Gossip Girl, Desperate, etc.

Plot: A group of 5 friends split up after one of them, Allison, disappears one summer. A year after the disappearance, the others reunite once Allison's body is found. They each receive creepy texts from her after her death, because she knows their secrets.

It's weird. I like it. Hopefully it won't be canceled.

Foursquare. I joined the other day and am obsessed. At first I had no idea what in the world what I was doing. I must admit I found it quite creepy as well that people know where you are. It's actually great for anyone who likes Twitter. I tend to tweet, but I never really know what to tweet about. I usually re-tweet or reply, and that's about it. Foursquare makes it simple for me to keep my followers updated. P.S. I dig it because it let's you know who the posers are. Don't deny that you also get irked when folks tell you they go someplace ALL the time. Ha! Comment or message me if you want to be Foursquare or Twitter friends!

Redecorating my room. This weekend all I'll be doing is redoing my room. When I was 12, I thought it would be a great idea to paint it pink and orange. It's still ridiculously cute and similar to something you might see in a PB Teen catalog, but I'll feel bad for my mom and dad once I move out and they'll have to re-paint it. Plus, there's no way I can put my Caps fathead on an orange and pink wall. I'm still living out of boxes and suitcases from the end of the school year too.

Step 1.
Clean/throw away stuff I don't need/send things to Goodwill. Step 2. Unpack FINALLY. Step 3. Paint the walls green! Step 4. Organize and redecorate!

I'll let you know how it goes. I wish I had before and after photos. Maybe later.

Lilly warehouse sale. It was fabulous. Not as great as the years before because the sample sizes ran out quickly. I promised myself not to unpack any of my goodies until I finish my room. Pictures and details soon!

5 days until the Lilly Warehouse Sale!

In 5 days, I will be trekking to King of Prussia (a little less than 2 hour drive) for my favorite time of year, the Lilly Warehouse Sale!

It always takes place at the best times of the year. The fall one always falls on the day I get home for Thanksgiving break, and I'm out of school way before the spring sale. Great for Christmastime and my summer birthday!

My mother and I make it a mother-daughter bonding sesh. We're pretty much the same size, which just so happens to be the sample size, so we go all out. So it's alright if I grab everything I see.

The highlight of the sale for me would be seeing everyone from the headquarters. They're such sweet folks and love what they do. I wouldn't blame them. I would do anything for a job there.

I hope to see a few fellow bloggers there and can't wait to tell you all about my adventure!

Bush: I'd waterboard KSM again

Former President George W. Bush said Wednesday that he has no regrets about waterboarding Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, saying that, if presented with the same opportunity, he’d “do it again.”

First post!

Hello there!

I have pretty much always had a passion for pink and green. My Make-A-Wish was to design my own Lilly dress. My dorm rooms have been sprinkled with pink and green decor the past two years. As social chair of my sorority, I planned a pink and green spring fling formal. For my sweet 16, I had a pink and green Vineyard Vines and Lilly themed birthday by the pool. When I was sick, I wore only Lilly bandannas.

The past year I have also discovered that I have a passion for politics. When I first entered college, I thought of being an economics or math major with an interest in business. However, this semester I changed my concentration to political science, because I just found it so interesting. I'm not exactly sure what I would like to do with this major, possibly something related to public policy. This summer, I will be putting it in practice as I intern at a small think tank.

I used to picture myself living in New York and Boston upon graduation. My entire life I have lived near Baltimore, but my weekends were always spent in DC and Virginia, or traveling. You could say I'm not too gung ho Baltimorean, but more on the DC side. I never actually appreciated or considered how great of a city DC is until I began to study government. So I'll be sticking here.

This blog is dedicated to my love for politics and anything preppy, two things that don't really go hand in hand. I hope to keep this going for at least the next two years, and we'll see where it goes from there. I hope to give you updates on my college experience, job search, and fashion interests. Follow me as I stick to Vogue's word:

"Sorry to break this news to any Manhattanites still in denial, but Washington, D.C., is the new New York."
